The popular adblock plus ad blocker once again won a case in a German court filed in a lawsuit from a German newspaper. A judge in Munich, where the case was considered, ruled that users have the full right to attempt to block advertising on the newspaper’s website.

This is the fifth case that the German court is considering in connection with the claims of the German media against Adblock Plus - and every time the judges decide in favor of the developers of the blocker. In this case, the judge explained his decision by saying that there are no contracts between visitors of the sites and advertisers that oblige users to view the ads offered to them. And, therefore, users have the full right to block content that they don’t like.

The lawsuit was filed by the SĂĽddeutsche Zeitung newspaper , as Ben Williams, one of the company's employees, the largest newspaper in Germany, explains on the blogpost, and it has about the same meaning as The New York Times in the United States.

Adblock Plus offers advertisers the " acceptable advertisements " initiative, in which non-irritating eyes and hearing advertisers' ads are added to the white lists. But on such compromises SĂĽddeutsche Zeitung decided not to go. The judge, on the contrary, considered this initiative, which allows advertisers to make money on advertising that is profitable for the latter.

In addition, the judge noted that the law does not exist to help companies maintain and support their business models. The task of companies is the constant desire to create innovation.

The previous similar case was considered last September, when the largest German publisher Axel Springer stated that advertising is a constitutional right of the press - but this statement also did not impress the court.
