E-mail in 1984. How were home PCs used 30 years ago?

PC helped live even then, back in 1984

Computers have become mainstream relatively recently. Yes, the first desktop PCs and network technologies appeared much earlier, but until a certain point, all this was considered the lot of geeks (although the word then hardly existed), exotic.

The program, which came out on the screens 32 years ago, shows us how the computer was used by its happy (and, by the way, such systems were expensive) the owners long before the PC became mainstream. Already then it was possible to send each other e-mails, a prototype of e-mail, with which we are all working now.

In addition, the PC, according to its owner, could be used to keep food in the fridge, keep records of the household, and communicate with the doctor. For example, you could ask your doctor to write a prescription.

Interestingly, the number needed to be dialed manually, to wait for the response of the machine “from the other side”, and then to hang up and start working with the prototype of the Network.

Pay attention to how simple a man types the password - then they didn’t suspect, probably, that the account could be hacked. And it all worked perfectly, and it was really easy to use (at least, that’s how it looks in the video).
