Honda has launched its own hydrogen fuel cell vehicle.

Then it was also reported that the stock of the car from Honda will be more than that of Mirai from Toyota. Now the company has presented not a concept, but a commercial version of the car, which was called Clarity. The cost of new can not be called low - $ 67,000 is still a solid amount.

In the first year, 200 cars will be sold, but they will not be sold in showrooms, but will be provided as part of leasing to government organizations. Some Clarity will be made available to commercial companies, which, however, have not yet been named.

After some time, hydrogen cars will go on sale in California at a price of $ 60,000, and leases will be provided for $ 500 per month.

In Japan, leasing will cost $ 880 a month, and the total cost of a car here is $ 67,000, as mentioned above. State "green" benefits may reduce this amount.

Harmful emissions of a car on hydrogen fuel cells does not, at the exit - only water. Honda is one of the first (if not the first) company to create a commercial version of hydrogen fuel cells. They were first certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board in 2002.

When the tank is fully loaded, a sedan (the form factor is exactly that - a five-seater sedan) can travel 750 kilometers without refueling. The company during the work on the project was able to reduce the fuel cells, while increasing the number of seats in the cabin to 5.

According to the head of the company, by 2030, 2/3 of Honda’s products will be cars with zero emissions (electric cars, fuel-cell vehicles, hybrids).

Let me remind you that the first company to start selling hydrogen cars was Toyota, which released the Toyota Mirai. Now there are cars on fuel cells and at Volkswagen AG, Hyundai Motor Co., General Motors Co. and Mazda Motor Corp.
