Ilon Musk: in 2018 Tesla will be able to cross the entire country on its own

The machine will find you wherever your phone is ... and it will automatically charge itself throughout the journey.

The CEO noted that the current prototype of the robotic charge ( Snake ) or its improved version will soon be mounted at the company's supercharging stations. Mask later admitted that his predictions were “perhaps a little optimistic,” and explained that full autonomous driving would require more than just a software update on the existing Model S and Model X series:

This means that Tesla now being sold may not be autonomous in the full sense for two years, but Musk thinks that the necessary technologies will be fully prepared by this time. As he noted to reporters:
