Unusual abilities of smart lamps: Luminous can distinguish colors
Last year, several smart bulbs with atypical abilities appeared. Unexpected was the model BeON , which had a built-in battery in case of an emergency power outage. Its second function turned out to be “security”: the model was able to imitate the presence of the owners and thus fall away from thieves. Another model - Qube - had to synchronize with fitness trackers and give signals about incoming calls.
And many rightly noted that such functions from smart lighting, by and large, is not required. Smart lamps, many of which are listed in a large selection of “Smart Home”, should be able to turn on and off remotely, possibly change colors, perhaps intensity ... Everything else is a race of competitors and “disposable” pleasures. From this point of view, we decided to look at Luminous in order to understand what is needed and what is not needed in a smart lamp that we have been selling for several years.
Now, the possibility of a Bluetooth-lamp does not cause anyone to delight or other emotions, and everyone understands what to expect from the category of smart lamps: ')
Remote control capability
Brightness adjustment
Choice of color
All this, of course, in Luminous is. The diode lamp turns on and off from a smartphone, which reaches it using Bluetooth 4.0 and above. For this, for iOS (including, according to Itunes, and for Apple Watch) and Android applications are provided.
The main color comes from the diodes arranged around the rim.
"Side" is - from the five central.
Accordingly, all additional modes are associated with this central part. This is what “color music” looks like:
Or - one of the dozen built-in modes of "flicker" and "blinking." There are enough such modes, but if they seem small, you can “draw” your own pattern:
This strange flare is also easy to justify. Luminous lamp can be set to a timer, and then it can act as an alarm clock, if someone is tired of waking up to the sound.
The timer can also be used in the event that getting the smartphone every time, to turn the lamp on and off will seem tedious, and if you come home and go to work at about the same time, this does not seem ridiculous.
Total, at the intermediate stage, we get three possibilities:
Alarm clock
The ability to "draw" your color history
Light Music
Next to color music, an even more unusual function is the color response to sound, whether it be ambient noise or the sound of your own voice.
And, since there is a reaction to the sound, there must be a reaction to the color. Colors, in general, the lamp also distinguishes. Given the large number of preset shades, this does not seem to be something fantastic, but nevertheless: the lamp can shine with a touch of your wallpaper, jeans, desk, etc. To customize this feature, go to the “Camera” menu.
Invaluable feature for designers and artists!
In general, we add:
Sound / Noise Response
Distinguishing colors
The “basic” settings — brightness settings and color choices — are also represented by separate tabs in the menu with intuitive controls.
For those who did not consider, once again the full list of features:
Remote on / off
Brightness control
Tint management
Alarm clock (timer)
Flicker mode
Own "pattern"
Light Music
Noise response
Distinguishing colors
Luminous comes in a box that lists some of the features.
In particular, it is indicated that this is an analogue of 60W lamps. Here, for comparison: incandescent 60 W vs Luminous.
Which of these functions are needed, which are useless? - You decide, of course. Thanks for attention!
