Pirates warn: in two years we can lose the hacked games

After a month of fighting the new protection against unlicensed copying in the Just Cause 3 game, members of the pirated group from China 3DM almost gave up . Protection against Denuvo turned out to be too difficult for hacking - it is possible that this game will not get to the torrents. And if the software protection will develop at the same pace, then in a couple of years it will be possible to completely forget about pirated games.

Copy protection, developed in the Austrian company Denuvo Software Solutions GmbH, has established itself as relatively reliable. Released at the end of 2014, Dragon Age: Inquisition, equipped with this protection, managed to hold out for a whole month , until it was still hacked. This is quite a long time, considering that usually the games were hacked by pirates simultaneously with the start of sales or a maximum of a few days after their launch. By the way, the same Chinese from 3DM carried out hacking.

And FIFA 2016, released back in September last year, is still on the list of unlocked . Apparently, all efforts are thrown at Just Cause 3. Here is what Bird Sister, who founded the 3DM group, writes on her forum :

Recently, people often ask questions about the crack to Just Cause 3. I answer everyone the question. The last step of the hack was too complicated, and our cracker Jun has almost given up. But last Wednesday I cheered him up and encouraged him to continue working.

I believe that the toy can be hacked. But, judging by the latest trends in the development of encryption technologies, in two years there will be no games left in the world that can be played for free.

What can be said to this? The universal principle “if one person has built, another can always make out”, it seems that nobody has yet canceled. In addition, it is premature to draw conclusions on the basis of failure to break into one game, in which only one person is engaged. The version with non-standard marketing company is not excluded.

In the end, once the protection of the CD " StarForce Disc " was also considered unbreakable. However, after a while, a solution was found to combat this protection, and the defense itself brought even many bona fide buyers. And still brings - for example, games with the protection of version up to 5.5 do not support Windows 7.

Although in reality, the venerable master wanted to say, of course: “unum facit - aliud vastat” (“What can be created by man can be destroyed by him”).
