
Expansys, one of the international distributors of Sony Ericsson, said in its internal marketing newsletters that the long-awaited communicator of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 may be available in early October. And although Sony Ericsson did not comment on this information, Expansys claims that it received several samples of the communicator for testing.
X1 will be equipped with a touch screen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and a sliding qwerty-keyboard. Among other things, it will be integrated with the A-GPS module, as well as support for third-generation networks, namely, UMTS, HSDPA and HSUPA. The device is running the operating system Windows Mobile 6.1
The price of the device is $ 1,100. The communicator will not be tied to any particular carrier.
