The company "Yandex" announced the beginning of a paid display of films and TV series on the service "Kinopoiska." A new section “Online” appeared on the resource, where users can watch movies in high quality, write “Vedomosti”. In order to help viewers find something to their liking, the editors of Kinopoisk will recommend interesting (in her opinion) movies of users).

There is also personalization. If a user adds movies to the “I will watch” section, then a recommendation with a personal selection of films will appear at the top of the section.

Most movies will be available for free, albeit with ads. But if you want to disable advertising, you will have to buy a paid subscription. New films will need to buy or watch for money, they will not be able to watch them for free.

According to the developers, the premieres will soon appear in the mobile service application, so far this option is impossible. Films "Yandex" began to show a few months after the company announced its desire to create its own film screening service. Initially, the launch of the service was scheduled for the end of last year.

As for Kinopoisk itself, Yandex acquired it in 2013 for $ 80 million. This site is one of the oldest in Runet, and at the same time it was Russia's largest cinema site. Two years later, films that could be watched for money appeared on the purchased resource. But it was not Yandex’s own service, but an online cinema content aggregator.
