Introducing DJI Mavic Air

Superportable drone with a 3-axis stabilized camera, shooting in 4K resolution, SmartCapture, Flight Autonomy 2.0 systems and advanced autopilot.

Today, DJI unveiled the new Mavic Air quadcopter — an ultra-portable, folding camera drone, new intellectual features and functions, and previously unavailable in other DJI drones.

This model is primarily aimed at travel enthusiasts. Therefore, this model presents the best features of the legendary DJI Mavic Pro series , such as the 4K camera, the new QuickShot and SmartCapture modes for convenient and effective photo and video shooting, as well as the new FlightAutonomy 2.0 with enhanced autopilot for safe flight. Mavic Air is a real marvel of engineering and design that expands your research opportunities, wherever you are.

Portability and power

Mavic Air weighing 430 g is the most portable DJI drone. Foldable rays and propellers fit tightly along the aerodynamic body. Thanks to this, the folded drone is no more than a modern smartphone.

Every detail of the Mavic Air camera has been designed for maximum efficiency. Reinforced three-axis suspension mounted on shock absorbers to reduce vibration, improve protection and improve the quality of images. Camera with CMOS 1 / 2.3 ”matrix, f / 2.8 aperture with focal length of 24 mm (EGF 35 mm) for high-quality photo and video. The camera allows you to take clear pictures with the image of 12 megapixels using new HDR algorithms that store more detail on each photo at any time of the day, from dawn to dusk.

Mavic Air also shoots smooth, stabilized video at 4K resolution and 30 frames per second. Due to the maximum bit rate of 100 Mbps, it has the highest quality video among all consumer drones DJI. The camera supports slow-motion mode with a frequency of 120 frames / s, which allows you to save any movement in dynamic high-speed scenes with a resolution of 1080p.

In addition, Mavic Air is the first DJI drone with an additional slot for microSD memory cards and an internal memory of 8 GB, so that users can save photos and videos directly to the drone during the flight. The new USB-C port also makes it easy to export captured images.

Expand your creativity

New intelligent shooting modes Mavic Air give new opportunities for novice pilots. Now you can capture the surroundings with the smallest detail, using the Sphere function to automatically capture and merge up to 25 photos into a crystal clear panorama of an image with a resolution of 32 megapixels. Mavic Air also supports multiple panorama shooting modes, allowing you to create horizontal, vertical, and 180-degree shots.

You can create short videos thanks to the QuickShot fast-shooting modes: Rocket, Dronie, Circle and Helix, as well as 2 new modes, Asteroid and Boomerang.

In Asteroid mode, the drone flies back and up, removing the spherical panorama at the end of the route.
In the Boomerang mode, the drone flies around the object along an oval trajectory with a slope, while shooting ends at the starting point.

The intelligent flight mode of ActiveTrack drone Mavic Air now automatically detects several objects simultaneously. Due to the increased accuracy and greater set of working scenarios, your subject will always be in the frame, regardless of whether it runs or rides a bicycle.

New shooting mode SmartCapture. This is a super-fast shooting mode based on machine learning technology, which greatly simplifies photo and video shooting. At a distance of up to 6 meters, you can give commands with gestures, for example, for launching, tracking, photographing, recording, dropping, landing, to take a picture from any angle without a remote control.

More efficient and safer flight

Thanks to a powerful processor and optimized algorithms, Mavic Air flies more efficiently and safely, avoiding all obstacles and relief. The FlightAutonomy 2.0 system processes the data obtained by seven onboard cameras and infrared sensors to create a three-dimensional map of the environment for more accurate route planning. Improved viewing systems with dual front and rear cameras define obstacles at a distance of up to 20 meters. To navigate in space with a large number of obstacles in the drone, Mavic Air uses an advanced autopilot, which helps to fly around obstacles automatically, which provides additional protection during the flight.

The remote control is equipped with removable joysticks that are stored in the remote control.

The maximum flight time Mavic Air - 21 minutes. It can fly steadily in windy conditions up to 36 km / h and at altitudes up to 5000 m above sea level (the actual height of the ascent is limited to 500 meters from the take-off point).

Omnidirectional antennas are placed on a collapsible chassis, which expands the reception area to 4 km (in open space, without interference), and allows you to broadcast 720p video in real time during the flight using the control panel.

In Sport mode, the Mavic Air drone accelerates to 68.4 km / h.

Supports glasses DJI Goggles for flying from the first person.
