The developers have made the printer safe, without heating the printed platform and closed by touching the heating and moving elements. It prints only low-temperature plastics such as PLA, Flex, TPU, TPE and others. Printer design
The printer is controlled by a small 3.5-inch touch screen located at the top of the printer. A very convenient location, for example, on the
Creator Pro and
Dreamer models, the display was below. Trifle, but nice)

The sensor itself is comfortable and responsive. Model files for printing are displayed in small thumbnails. Prior to this, such a function was only in the top models of MakerBot and
Raise3D . The printing process can be observed on the screen in real time. There is no need to connect the printer to the computer, just insert the USB flash drive or transfer files via Wi-Fi.

Extruder remained the same, reliable workhorse MK8.
But the airflow was seriously modified. Since the printer is designed for printing PLA plastic, airflow was made from as many as 4 sides. This guarantees high-quality printing even for small models.

Printed table without heating, but with a brand surface designed for better adhesion models.

Another nice bonus was the end of the filament sensor for printing.

Now you do not have to worry if there is enough plastic for the model. The plastic is over, the printer beeps and automatically pauses the printing.

Calibration and preparation for printing
The calibration process is very simple. A small sensor controls the distance from the nozzle to the table.

Follow the on-screen instructions that tell you which way you need to tighten the 3 nuts under the table. Spin in the right direction to the beep, then press the “Verify” button to determine the distance and, if everything is in order, press the OK button, if not, repeat the procedure.

On the back of the printer is a special cartridge to accommodate the plastic.

“A handy thing!” We thought. So it is, the coil is placed inside, the thread passes through the guide tube. Nothing extra around, the printer prints, life is beautiful)
But there is one caveat - only a 500-gram coil is placed in the cartridge (the coil of the right size is included in the kit).
If you are used to using 1 kg coil or more, there are 2 options.
The first. Save a couple of coils from the used plastic 0.5 kg and wrap plastic on them with large coils. Or the second. Do not use the cartridge for the coil, as we did.
We took a kilogram coil, which was placed next to the printer, we missed the thread through the guide tube, but ... printing did not start. The reason is a plastic termination sensor, which, it turns out, is inside the cartridge. Until he fixes the thread, will not print. This problem was easily solved - the sensor was “deceived” by passing a piece of thread through it.
Minus the second option - you can not use the sensor of the end of the filament and at the end of the plastic seal will not be paused.

Print results
Vase, layer 0.18, printing time just over 8 hours, transparent blue PLA-plastic ESUN.

FlashForge Inventor II fully justifies its printer status for a home or school, the ideal printer for a child or teenager. The printer is fashionable, secure, convenient and affordable. Very simple and intuitive software, intuitive interface of the screen, there is even an application for Happy 3D phone (very valuable for the younger generation).
But this does not mean that adults will not be interested in working with him. The level of printing with PLA plastic is very decent. Thanks to the four-sided blowing of the model, you can achieve a high level of detail. And the software provides ample opportunities for 3D printing.
