Service Uber resumed testing of unmanned vehicles of its own design after three days, after the accident, reports Engadget.

The accident occurred in the city of Tempe in Arizona. Robomobil collided with another car and rolled over. Only the driver was in the cabin, no one was hurt.

The police called the human factor a preliminary cause of the accident: another machine under the control of a living person did not miss the Uber's robility car, which led to a collision. It was reported that the testing of robotic mobiles will be suspended while the causes of the accident are being investigated.

However, Uber announced the resumption of tests until the end of the official investigation of the accident in Tempe. The service seeks to release a working version of the mobile as soon as possible in order to reduce its own costs: since its inception, Uber has been losing money and has been “eating up” investors for many years. The main item of expenditure of the service is the compensation of drivers' expenses, since Uber tariffs dump the market for passenger transportation worldwide and are far from profitability.

This is not the first incident involving autonomous vehicles. Last year, Tesla autopilot started the car at full speed under a wagon. As a result, the driver of an electric vehicle died - a well-known autonomous transport enthusiast and friend of Tesla Joshua Brown.
