Ultrabook made entirely of aluminum. The design is concise - the entire cover is decorated with a familiar concentric texture in the corporate style of Zen.

')

The total thickness of the ultrabook is 13.5 mm, but thanks to the tricks of the technologists, the body is shaped so that it looks visually thinner.

On the right side are the operation and power indicators, micro HDMI ports, USB Type C and USB 3.0, as well as the power connector.

On the left is another USB 3.0 port, an audio jack and a card reader.

The bottom is smooth, made a single piece. Only four rubber feet protrude. Near the front edge are two large speaker grilles.

The display of the UX330UA is matte, which is good news. Along the perimeter of the cover is a narrow bumper.

The camera is located in the center above the display, on the right is its operation indicator, on the left is the light sensor, and on the edges are two microphones.

The keyboard is equipped with white backlight.

Display
UX330 is equipped with a 13.3-inch display based on IPS-matrix, with a color coverage of 72% NTSC. On sale there are two versions of the ultrabook, with a resolution of 1920x1080 and 3200x1800. The review was the second. With this resolution, the pixel density is 276 ppi, so the image is perfectly smooth. Of course, there is a temptation to use this “wealth” as efficiently as possible, fitting, for example, a large Excel spreadsheet on the screen, or display the source code and layout of the site immediately. But for this you need to have excellent vision, because at 13 inches the size of the characters will be too small. But when you increase the scale to more comfortable values, there is no pixelness.
Sound
The Harman Kardon logo under the cursor keys hints that the sound of the UX330 should compare favorably with that of most ultrabooks. And the sound really did not disappoint. Even the speakers of the UX330 produce a very pleasant impression, both in terms of coverage and detail of playback, as well as in reserve volume. But it is better to connect better headphones, preferably full-size and closed type, so as not to interfere with external sounds - then the UX330 will reveal for real.
Performance and work experience
The heart of the UX330 can be either an
Intel Core i7 6500U or an
Intel Core i5 6200U . The amount of RAM - up to 8 GB. This is enough for the vast majority of modern computing task, not to mention the everyday methods of application.

There is no discrete graphics card for the UX330UA; instead, the integrated graphics chip Intel HD Graphics 520 is used instead.
SSD is used as data storage with connection via
M.2 interface . Disk capacity - 512 or 256 GB.

The UX330UA was quiet and fast to use. Although he does not have an advanced SSD-drive, but the system is loading. The Core i7 processor and 8 GB of memory was enough for me for all the tasks with which I loaded the ultrabook. Of course, heavy games are not his hobby, the video subsystem is not designed for this. But viewing specific 4K-rollers and editing 30-megapixel photos in Lightroom passed without any difficulty. At the same time, FLAC music was spinning in the background. With such a load, the ultrabook battery stretched for about 4 hours, but in the web surfing mode with periodic clips on Youtube it “lived” for 10.5 hours.
Conclusion
The UX330UA is quite large, but not heavy (1.2 kg) ultrabook. Very high resolution - 3200x1800 - with a 13.3-inch diagonal makes the image completely smooth, as if painted on paper (or vector, if you like this analogy). But you have to understand that this is not a gaming device - the video card will not allow you such pranks. In the maximum configuration, with a Core i7 processor and 8 GB of memory, the performance of the UX330UA is enough for a very wide range of tasks, including those related to 2D graphics and video processing (this is also facilitated by a wide color gamut). If you wish, you can display a lot of information on the display, if you are not confused by the smallness of the details. But these very details will be drawn very clearly, without any compromises such as smoothing fonts and the like. A difficult routine of editing photos or debugging the code will brighten up your favorite selection of music, which will be pleasant to listen even through the built-in speakers, not to mention the headphones.
