The company Mercedes-Benz has joined the number of automakers that produce or are going to produce cars under the electric motor. On August 16, at the Monterey Car Week exhibition, the company presented the concept coupe
Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 on batteries. This luxury car with a length of almost 6 meters of a futuristic look will go on sale
in a few years .
This is the first purely electric model of Mercedes-Benz. Previously, the company has already made electric versions of some B-Class and Smart machines, but for the first time now it is preparing to release a model that was originally designed for an electric power plant.
The Mercedes-Benz electric car is currently presented in the form of a Vision concept of the Mercedes-Maybach 6. After finalizing the project, it will be produced at the company's Bremen plant. By the way, at the same plant from next year they will begin to produce hybrid Mercedes-Benz GLC SUVs on fuel cells and electricity. They can be filled with hydrogen or charged from the outlet.

The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h. For Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, the company also promises to develop advanced fast-charging technology, so that in 5 minutes you can charge enough batteries for an extra 100 kilometers.
In this model, the company also introduced a special design. Such features will be different all future electric cars Mercedes-Benz.

According to
unofficial information , the company Mercedes-Benz intends to start production of four models of electric cars: two sports models and two sedans. For this line of cars will create a separate brand, although the name for it has not yet chosen. A large presentation of the electric vehicle will be held in September at the Paris Motor Show.
It is said that the success of the Tesla Model S sedan had a certain pressure on other automakers, who have not yet released anything like it. Therefore, BMW and Mercedes-Benz urgently accelerated the development and production of luxury sports electric cars. Obviously, such machines are in demand in the market. Leaders of the German premium car market also want to capture the imagination of the public. In addition, electric cars have no problems with violation of European standards for exhaust emissions.
Several Mercedes-Benz electric cars should go on sale before the end of the decade, sources close to the car concern say. Obviously, Mercedes-Benz is behind Tesla for several years behind scientific and technical developments, but the Germans will try to catch up with the competitor. Imagine the future in which such fantastic cars will drive through the streets of our cities.

In addition to passenger cars, Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, plans to launch a fully electric heavy truck early next decade. The company also promises to release electric versions of
all models in the line of city mini-cars under the Smart brand.
