American Film Academy has selected the Oscar from YouTube
All videos with episodes of the Oscar award ceremony were removed from the YouTube video service. As informs Variety , the management of service has executed the requirement of the American Film Academy.
According to its executive administrator Rick Robertson (Ric Robertson), the Film Academy notified YouTube of the inadmissibility of the distribution of such materials, "since such actions are contrary to the policy of using our brand."
Some of these clips, including short interviews with the laureates that they gave behind the scenes, were posted on oscar.com, however, according to Roberts, even if they were not there, the Academy leadership would still not allow them to be distributed in free video services.
