Quadcopter or r / u machine? Syma introduced the X9 hybrid
To date, I have accumulated quite a few home quadcopters, and when you launch them to fly around the apartment, they always get into trouble. They especially like to touch the leg of the chair with a screw, and until you come and push it away, they will not fly further. And it's terribly annoying when you do this 10 times in the evening. But the guys from Syma, whom I have already praised more than once, decided to create a quadrocopter that can easily get out of almost any trap on their wheels. And believe me, this is very convenient.
We managed to find a novelty in the online store SomeBox , so the very next day I opened the box of the desired package.

Inside was a medium-sized device, larger than mini-copters, like the Habsan X4, but smaller than the Syma X5.

Preparing for flight / driving did not take a lot of time, since everything is simple and clear. As always in Syma.
We put the battery in the quadcopter, 4 finger batteries in the remote and everything, the quadcopter is ready for battle.
It is worth noting that the battery took into account a special compartment in which it will firmly hold.
Immediately on the bottom you can find the power switch, which is very convenient, since you do not need to constantly “pull” the battery.
It was not quite clear to me how such hybrids are controlled: for quadcopters / helicopters, we are accustomed to the console with sticks, but the cars are usually controlled by pistol consoles. But Syma found an elegant solution and the right stick is responsible for the movement of the wheels, while taking off this right stick turns into the usual means for tilting the quadrocopter.

I can not say that the wheels are large, on a flat home floor Syma X9 accelerates very quickly, but on the street, in slushy weather, the speed it will not surprise you. Hybridity makes it the most versatile p / u gadget of all that I know. It looks quite funny. Personally, it reminds me of a fly that runs around the table, flies to another place if desired, and runs further.
In addition to the obvious advantage - to drive and fly, Syma X9 can please us also with the ability to make flips.
On one battery, it flies for about 5-6 minutes (it drives longer), the distance is about 50 meters. In addition, there is a speed switch "faster / slower." As well as this hybrid is equipped with a really bright backlight, which was well shown by the American browser in his video (see 8.27).
Of course, that in front of us is a toy, but it is very funny and can brighten up many evenings. And perhaps, Syma x9 is able to open a new kind of racing, in which some sections need to fly, and some pass. I am sure that this direction will actively develop in the coming years. Indicators on the range and time of flight of our hybrid are comparable with competitors in their price range. By the way, it costs a little more than $ 55 , which is justified by the traditionally good quality plastic and assembly from Syma. As for management, he behaves very stable.
