According to the newspaper Izvestia, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan submitted to the State Duma a draft law on toughening penalties in the field of gambling. So, at the suggestion of legislators, from January 1, 2017, it is proposed to fine not only the organizers of the online casinos, but also their visitors. The latter, in the case of the adoption of the bill, faces a fine ranging in size from 10 to 20 thousand rubles.

There are enough tools in the Administrative Code to fight against the organizers of illegal casinos outside the specially designated gambling zones, however, there is no possibility to punish the players themselves.

In turn, the head of the Mediaguard project (the federal project of the Young Guard of United Russia), Kirill Grinchenko, declares that there are enough existing mechanisms to combat online casinos (blocking websites and mirrors), and there is no opportunity to punish the players .
