RAICamp 2015 - the second day

I continue to post the materials of the summer event of the RAICamp 2015. The lectures on the first day of the conference were posted a month ago with the post of the RAICamp 2015 - the first day . Now, however, we managed to demolish lectures of the second day and a post-collection round table on the topic “Maker and hobby communities” with the participation of Intel, Microsoft, Deloite, RVC, HSE and R.Bot.

I planned to manage to mount a few more by this time, but the next adversity on the part of video editing software and hardware made some adjustments to these plans. Nevertheless, I hasten to share the material of the second day of the RAICamp.

')
I repeat that:
Records of almost all lectures of the event in stock form without editing are available on the official channel of the organizers . But I, as a person spoiled by viewing assembled lectures from TED, WWDC, I / O, Digital October, etc., wanted to edit the material in a dynamic form with a dilution of the picture, a change of plans, frames of presentations and videotapes. It so happened that not all the presentations and videos that were shown were able to be produced, but in some cases, a magical Indian montage rescued the close-up from the projection screen.

So, the beginning of the second day of the conference was marked by Tatyana Volkova (Robots City) with the presentation “Theater of Robots: Experience in Solving the Problem". As it turned out, not everything is so smooth and cloudless when using robotics in theatrical way ... Even the most relevant and perfect anthropomorphic robots are quite limited in movement, non-trivial in training and capricious in intensive use:

Further, Vyacheslav Kravtsov (R.BOT) stepped onto the stage, accompanied by the interactive robot promoter RBOT-100 and the telepresentational tablet-carrying robot R.BOT Synergy Swan with the presentation “R.BOT Synergy Robots - a platform for developing intelligent applications". To my surprise, these Creatures are much more than self-propelled trolleys on wheels, if properly programmed:

After that there was a coffee break, during which one could admire the above mentioned robotic products.

Further, after the coffee break, Anna Vlasova (Nanosemantics) cheered up the audience with the presentation “Exam for artificial intelligence: the results of the Russian-language Turing test.” It turns out that there are dialog algorithms capable of posing as representatives of the protein mind and on the great mighty. And dialogues during Domestic Turing Challenges Sometimes Occur Extremely Delivering:

Further, on the stage was Alexander Sokolov (Vocord) with the performance “The task of recognition and identification of persons in computer vision”. Pretty impressive 3d-masks technology in face recognition with synchronized pairs of stereo cameras was demonstrated:

Further, Sergey Ivashko (Expir) appeared on the stage with the presentation “Sources of financing engineering projects”. It turns out that in the fatherland there are more than 1000 sources of support for innovation, and not all of them are equally useful themed:

Further, Ilya Sobol (the Center for the HSE Prototyping) completed the lecture part of the second day with the presentation “Idea. Her life and death, on the example of interdisciplinary artistic and technical projects ". Technically non-trivial projects and installations of varying degrees of art-houseness were demonstrated, and the process of their creation was also slightly illustrated:

The culmination of the second day of RAICamp was the “Makers and Hobby Communities” round table, which raised a lot of questions about the make-up topics - including prototyping, targeting, scaling, investments, commercialization, coordination, support:

At this, the official part of the second day of the event came to an end, although the participants of the conference were present for quite a long time talking, discussing ideas, projects and trends in mekersko-hobistskoy of the industry ...

Behind this, the narration of the second day of the event is completed and I hope to have time to mount and publish the materials of the third and fourth day this year.
