CES-2015, as before, surprises with a variety of solutions from large and small companies. Big gadgets, small gadgets, smart and very smart devices - all this is at CES. Among other interesting devices shown at the exhibition, we offer to evaluate the following:
Wrist posture corrector InBody Band;
Inexpensive smart watch Activité Pop from Withings;
Coffee maker Smarter Wi-Fi Coffee Machine;
Neurostimulator for reducing the level of pain in chronic diseases from NeuroMetrix;
Smart straps from the manufacturer of luxury watches Montblanc.
InBody Band
')
This small bracelet allows you to always be aware of whether the posture is correct. In order to monitor the position of the body, the device is equipped with several sensors.
In addition to posture, the device also allows you to calculate the heart rate, body mass index, the percentage of fat and do some other calculations. Interestingly, InBody has been working in the health market, if I may say so, for more than 20 years. But InBody Band is one of the first smart devices released by this manufacturer.
By the way, InBody Band, as it should be, has an application for a smartphone (Android and iOS), which allows you to receive information from the device in real time.
Activité pop
Withings recently introduced a very cute hybrid tracker-smart watch - Activité . A hybrid device is called because, in fact, it is a mechanical watch with some functions of a fitness tracker (plus a sleep detector). The device case is waterproof.
The device is all good, but here its price of $ 450 is not for everyone.
That is why it was decided to release another version of the device, with a similar design, but much cheaper. At the same time, the functions of the Activité Pop are quite advanced - it is possible to continuously monitor its activity during training and rest. There is a monitoring of the quality of sleep. Plus, the watch case is waterproof, so you can even use them while swimming.
In offline mode, the device can work for about 8 months.
Smarter Wi-Fi Coffee Machine
Coffee lovers received another gift from engineers. This is a smart coffee maker (designed for making one cup of coffee), which can make coffee on command from a smartphone. As soon as the coffee is ready, the user receives a notification on the phone.
Interestingly, Smarter Wi-Fi Coffee Machine can even determine when the owner returns from work to make delicious coffee for his master.
A similar decision was previously presented by Belkin. This coffee maker was called Mr.Coffee
Quell: a neurostimulator for reducing pain
The NeuroMetrix company created the next version of a neurostimulator, which, according to the developers, allows to reduce the level of pain in chronic diseases. This may be pain in the joints, with appropriate diseases, diabetes, fibromyalgia and some other diseases.
At the same time, the device is non-invasive, its work does not require the introduction into the patient's tissue. The device does not require a prescription from the doctor, and you can wear it all day on yourself - Quell weighs very little.
The device is controlled from the smartphone, the user can determine how actively the therapy should be carried out.
Montblanc Smart Strap
The Montblanc company is known as a manufacturer of mechanical luxury watches (and not only watches). Trying to keep up with the times, this company has released a smart strap for its watches, adding smart functions, such as displaying notifications from a smartphone.
These can be text messages, calendar notifications, event reminders and other necessary things.
