Reaching for "Yutyuba": "Vkontakte" changed the video section

Vkontakte social network has updated video recordings: the interface has changed slightly, the possibility of embedding video on third-party resources has increased - you can set an arbitrary video window size, the search has changed (not the most convenient side), there are “recommended videos” a la Youtube with one significant difference : when a user watches his videos, only his videos are displayed in this section. In other cases, it is practically a copy of the YouTube functionality.



As he writes in his commentary “Roem.ru”, this can be a preparation for the introduction of paid videos with deductions to copyright holders, including a system of protection against free duplicates among user videos, on Vkontakte. In general, “Vkontakte” will become similar to Youtube not only in good, but also in a bad sense too. If this is true - then the long-standing stronghold of pirated video comes to an end. "Vkontakte" could not break legally, but the loot in the end won.

PS In the meantime, LiveJournal has for several days already launched an open beta test of its own video hosting service .
