Tag Cloud Alternative
Like an example of a tag tree or a pyramid? If several tags are connected hierarchically, then such a representation would be more useful than a tag cloud by which you can judge only the popularity of something, but not a hierarchical position. At the same time, the tag tree can be formed from a multidimensional array in cycles or using recursion. In terms of graphic representation, everything is in our hands. Modern tools allow you to make the visual part of the tree almost any. Such a system will be useful in the case when the tag cloud serves as an element of navigation, and not as a “fun feature.”
In this case I want to consider two options, namely the tag pyramid (from many to one), and the tag tree (from one to many). In this case, the pyramid is given as an example and I will not expand on it, but about the tree with accuracy and vice versa.
I also consider two types of trees:

Now, about the "importance" of the tag. You can use the same system as in the tag cloud, where the degree of importance of the tag is determined by the size of the font it is written in, you can use the color scheme (in my opinion it is less desirable because people have different ideas about colors). The design of the tree itself, as I have said, is completely in our hands. Fans of beauty can also draw leaves and twigs :). Such a presentation of tags can be not only more convenient from a navigation point of view, but also gives more room for design activities.
