LED lighting is gradually coming to each apartment. Now LED bulbs are sold in all hardware stores and even in many grocery supermarkets. One of the main problems with LED lamps is the high price. Many developers are struggling to make LED lamps easier and cheaper without sacrificing light quality and durability.
Two years ago, LED filament
LED technology appeared. More recently, a new technology has emerged, with the help of which in the near future the production of LED lamps may become significantly cheaper. The technology is called Crystal Ceramic MCOB.

On a round plate of transparent ceramics (
ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transparent_ceramic_materials ) in a circle there is a large number of blue LEDs of small power, connected in series. The plate is coated with phosphor from two sides, thanks to which the lamp shines almost evenly in all directions.
The use of a large number of low-power LEDs allows you to completely abandon the radiator cooling and achieve very high efficiency up to 120 Lm / W.
In China, built the first factory, producing new technology lamps.
Above, I gave photos of a 6-watt lamp, which uses 56 LEDs. The 10-watt LED lamp is already 96, and they are located in two concentric circles.
Since the supply voltage for 96 series-connected LEDs would exceed the network, all LEDs are divided into two groups and they are separately connected to the driver with four wires.
The driver is located inside the plastic tube in the center of the lamp. It provides stable power LEDs and the absence of pulsation of light.
This is what the turned on lamp looks like with the cap removed.
So far, these lamps are quite expensive, but remember how it was with the lamps on LED threads. In the beginning, they cost 900 rubles (this is still at the old rate), and now - from 250 rubles. Most likely it will be the same with Crystal Ceramic MCOB.
In Russia, lamps manufactured using this technology are already being sold. In the near future I will tell about them.
