The Chinese lunar rover Yuytu landed on the lunar surface in December 2013. Thus, China became the third country to implement a soft landing on the moon, after the United States and the USSR. In general, this is the first planetary cruiser in 40 years old, working on the Moon since the completion of the activities of the Soviet Lunokhod-2 on May 11, 1973.
That is why hundreds of photos
published on January 20, 2016 are so important. These are pictures from the lunar rover and from the lander Chang'e-3. In the photo above - Stone-Pyramid, as the Chinese called it. Right behind it is a crater, from where, in fact, a stone came from.
Here are some of the photos.

At the same time, as part of the Chinese Chinese Lunar Exploration Program (CLEP), plans have already been
announced for landing the Chang'e-4 descent vehicle on the far side of the moon in 2020. The ambitious mission to Mars is still in question.
