All-Russian lesson "Light in our life"

On December 15, 2015, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation held a lesson “Light in our life” in 43 thousand schools.
I, at that time, the chief editor of the magazine “Svetekhnika”, developed a methodological material for the lesson in the form of a pdf-presentation on 24 slides with a resolution of 1600 × 1200 pixels for display on school projectors.

I tried to make a simple short presentation on lighting, lighting and lighting design, interesting for both schoolchildren and adults.

How it is done:

1) An iterative semi-annual discussion of the material was conducted by a large circle of authors involving well-known industry experts.
2) A minimum of mathematics is used. Lumens per square meter divided, but no more.
3) Only non-obvious information about light, lighting and energy saving is given. No "Volga flowing into the Caspian Sea."
4) The significance of certain factors is emphasized through a razkaz about their nature and action.
5) The emphasis is placed on energy saving and on the quality of the light environment. We were not born in order to save electricity (otherwise we could not be born), but to be happy.

Thanks for attention!
