Thus, the new rules suggest the possibility of a refund for almost any game, “for any reason,” as specified in the agreement. Conditions - the game must be purchased no later than 14 days before contacting support. In addition, the total time of the game should not exceed 2 hours.

Valve will return the money within a week by choosing a user-friendly payment method. If there are problems with payment, the money will go to the Steam Wallet.

Of course, there is no guarantee of a refund. In addition, it is not yet clear for which games it will be possible to demand a refund. Indeed, many games like “Gone Home” can be completed in less than two hours. Probably, all these moments will clear up a little later - after a series of user requests to support.

Until now, in the USA and many other countries for the Valve games it was simply impossible to get a refund. An exception was made for the countries of the European Union and New Zealand, where the policy of protecting the interests of customers is quite strict.
