Microsoft's Android applications have agreed to pre-deploy two dozen companies, including Sony and LG

Microsoft is trying to strengthen its position in the Android world by negotiating with manufacturers of Android devices to preinstall its application package. The fact that such negotiations ended successfully and more than two dozen different companies agreed to cooperate with Microsoft, said corporate vice president Nick Parker (Nick Parker). Among this list are both little-known local manufacturers, and well-known names - among them you can find Sony and LG.

This statement about the cooperation of Microsoft with the manufacturers of smartphones and tablets on Android is not the first. Redmond contracts already have agreements with 11 other companies, including such giants as Samsung and Dell. Thus, on the devices of 31 companies in the near future, a pre-installed Microsoft application package should appear, which includes Android versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype.

However, in reality, this is not quite the case. Microsoft really agreed with Samsung and Sony about pre-installing their applications on the new Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge and Xperia Z4 Tablet, attracting users with an additional 115 GB space in the cloud for OneDrive. However, in America, a number of mobile operators such as Verizon and T-Mobile still sell Samsung Galaxy and Samsung Edge without Microsoft applications, paying tribute to traditional Google services. Journalists did not fail to discern in this the influence of a search giant who does not like the attempts of foreign companies to occupy their homes.

Microsoft also has a strategic cooperation agreement with Cyanogen. According to him, Microsoft applications will also be built into the Cyanogen OS operating system (we are not talking about CyanogenMod), and, moreover, Bing will be used as the default search engine. A little earlier it was reported that Cyanogen intends to distance its firmware from the influence of Google and therefore received from Microsoft a significant round of funding of $ 70 million.
