On his Google+ page, the famous Chrome evangelist François Beaufort drew attention to the ticketing of the browser’s development team, which considers the possibility of measuring the degree of user interaction with a particular site. This reputation feature, which is called Site Engagement, should show how popular this resource is with a particular user and, depending on this, rate it in the form of a certain number of points. Depending on this feature, the browser will determine how much to allocate resources, such as battery power and disk space, to a specific site.

In current versions of Chrome, the Site Engagement Service is disabled by default. You can check this and enable the service at this link. Chrome: // flags / # enable-site-engagement-service .

In early September, Chrome developers reported that they had done a serious job of optimizing the consumption of RAM by the browser. The tabs recovery logic changed after the browser was closed, in addition, Chrome learned to determine the fact that the site currently does not require additional resources and call the garbage collector at this time. It turned out that in this way it is possible on average to free up to 10% of the amount of RAM. Earlier, Chrome learned how to block unnecessary Flash content on a web page.

A few days ago, ghacks.net noted another improvement in Chrome. When deleting the browser history, it is now visible how many objects of this or that type are deleted. However, it is not entirely clear why this feature is available only for four elements.
