The energy storage, where the used batteries for cars will be located, has already appeared in Germany.

The era of electric cars has just started, but the question of what to do with the used lithium-ion batteries is already being actively discussed. If you do not find a solution to the problem, they will end up in landfills around the world. German automaker Daimler , which is engaged in the release of "Mercedes", spoke about a possible way out of the situation.

With the support of three other companies (The Mobility House, GETEC and Remondis), he decided to build a thirteen megawatt power storage facility. The “dump” of waste batteries will be located in the city of Lünen (German state of Westphalia).

The manufacturer of all batteries to consumers gives a guarantee of ten years, but as soon as the period ends, they will be in storage. The company's engineers claim that the devices will last at least ten years more, accumulating energy through wind turbines and solar panels.

The developers are confident that this system will accelerate the revolution in the energy industry , as well as reduce the cost of building power plants. The storage will be connected to the central grid in 2016.
