Sony will release LED bulbs with a built-in speaker
In the world of consumer electronics, it is considered good practice to implant a camera into any invention. Now the lens is missing except on the handle of the vacuum cleaner or in the restroom. Although the latter may also be in question.
Having exhausted a logical list of “carriers” of the camera, manufacturers are slowly eyeing audio sources, namely, speakers. And here, as it turned out, there is an unplowed field.

The Japanese corporation Sony has announced a LED-light, Light Bulb Speaker, equipped with a Bluetooth-speaker. The device supports NFC technology. The light bulb is controlled by means of an application on a smartphone, through which it will be possible to change the brightness of the lighting (from 0 to 360 lumen) and broadcast music.
In Japan, the smart light goes on sale on May 23 for $ 199 apiece. And considering the average size of a Japanese apartment, the price is quite reasonable for a Tokyo resident. Screw one light bulb in a single room - and you rejoice.
However, it seems that Sony itself does not yet know whether there will be a demand for Light Bulb Speaker in Europe and the USA. Therefore, sales are still conducted only in the domestic market. Especially since the question remains open: “What should I do with the device when the light bulb fails?”
