Last Friday, examining the office of the blockages of the safe of the times of the USSR, found a sealed package of 4 "finger" batteries. All anything, but it was the batteries "Prima" A 316 of 08.89g release (by the way, only 2 years younger than myself). Naturally, I recognized them, I remembered how, as a kid, I asked my father to buy me more for some electronic toy. And, of course, I could not resist and took a few photos.

More photos under the cut.
The battery itself is a classic for that time design: paper label on a steel nickel-plated glass.

Manufacturer
"sirijus" ("Sirius" Lithuanian SSR). The price is 20 kopecks.

This is a manganese-zinc element with an alkaline electrolyte. But this is not nibble - a thick glass (not like the Chinese Heavy duty). That is why the element in 26 years has not decayed. A nominal capacity of 1.8 A · h was declared (when discharged to a resistance of 40 ohms) —it was very bad for that time, although the discharge current is rather small (36mA).

All 4 items were discharged.

And finally, next to the modern battery.
