Syscom introduced a computer for blind people.

The computer for people with vision problems was presented by the Russian company Syscom . A device without a monitor allows you to work with text, listen to music, go online, etc. The user "reads" the data from the Braille line. With this, he is also helped by converters that convert text - in English and Russian - to voice.

On the working surface of the computer are keys for typing. The correctness of what has been written, as has been said, is checked through a string in Braille. In the process of creating the device, Syscom specialists had to solve the problem of inconsistencies between the number of letters in alphabets and the characters of the Braille alphabet, according to a company press release.

According to CNews , computers are running Windows CE. The machine itself is mobile, has a battery-battery. You can connect microphones and speakers to it. In the presence of USB-port, as well as network ports for combining devices in the "lokalku". A regular monitor is compatible with the machine too - this is necessary when learning how to work on a computer.

New from Syscom has prototypes. An example is BrailleNote from New Zealand-based HumanWare , which also uses the Braille system.

There are also “pocket” PCs for the blind - such as Maestro, for example, from the same New Zealand manufacturer.
