Anime Torrent Tracker

Today, after a long period of preparation, our animely torrent tracker was opened.

Anime lovers will understand what it is about, and for those who do not know, anime is Japanese animation, manga is Japanese comics.



First of all, this is a thematic tracker that combines many sections, ranging from simply “Anime”, “Manga” and ending with games, live-action games, j-music. And, of course, hentai - where do without him ... :)

In Russia, I know even a few such trackers, but in the Ukrainian segment of the Internet, something has not yet happened. We can say we catch up. Despite the fact that the server is located in Kiev, there are no restrictions on the territorial affiliation of users.



At the design stage, as well as everyone who ever opened torrent trackers, faced with the problem of choosing the platform on which the system will work. If we consider more or less formed and logically complete solutions, then we have the following situation: on the one hand, there are trackers written in C (for example, XBT - xbtt.sourceforge.net ) + linking to the IPB forum (it seems, there are other forums , but did not find normal). The solution is good and quick, but it requires a long sharpening and adjustment.



On the other hand, there is TorrentPier (http://torrentpier.info), based on the second-generation phpBB forum. This solution is slow (in terms of speed), bony, but fast (in terms of installation), quite simple and easy to use and maintain. For lack of time, the choice was made towards the second option.



In the future, when the load on the server is large, it is planned to switch to another platform. Therefore, I am still looking for successful solutions. Can someone tell me something based on my experience?
