The new Google tool aggregates in one place all the user's personal information.

Yesterday, Google launched a new tool, " About Me ", designed to display and edit the user's personal information collected at once from all the search giant's services. The service looks like a set of cards that store information of a certain type (for example, “Education” or “Career”, previously listed on Google+), in which you can edit or change the accessibility settings.

The “About Me” page looks like this:

As you figure out the VentureBeat, which first noticed the launch of a new tool, all data cards can either be edited so that the contents are either empty lines, or simply change the level of access to them to “Only available to me”. The exception here applies only to the username, avatar and birthday. All changes are applied instantly, both in desktop services of Google, and in mobile applications.

This is not the first time that Google pays attention to the security of private user data. In February of this year, the search giant even arranged a share for the distribution of 2 free GB in the Google Drive cloud, if the user checks the security settings of personal data in a special wizard.

Recently, the publication of TJ drew attention to the fact that Facebook can find a person by his phone number. You can completely disable this feature only by unplugging your phone number from your social network account, and you will have to ignore the security measures offered by Facebook.
