Moscow City Court for life blocked Pleer.com in Russia

The claim of Universal Music to the Pleer.com resource, filed in this year's senate, was satisfied by the Moscow City Court, DGL writes. The court issued a resolution on the life blocking of Pleer.com in Russia. This is the second case of permanent blocking of an Internet site in the Russian Federation. The first decree on life blocking 11 resources at once (including Rutor.org) was issued in October of this year by the same court.

Now the administration of a blocked resource has a month to appeal the decision. There is no information on whether the decision will be appealed. The lawsuit was filed by Universal Music regarding the illegal placement of Diana Arbenina’s songs on the resource. The interests of the label in court represented the law firm Semenov & Pevzner.

The monthly audience of Pleer.com before blocking was about 2.6 million.
