The US space agency NASA demonstrated a prototype of the new Modular Robotic Vehicle, developed jointly with major automotive concerns. MRV was created in order to function in the harsh conditions of other planets, such as, for example, Mars.
Visually, MRV resembles golf cars. It works on battery-powered electric motors. All four wheels move independently and can be rotated 180 °, which adds to the maneuverability of the car. The maximum speed is about 64 km / h, although at the moment it is limited to 24 km / h. Weight is about 900 kg, and dimensions - 2.13x1.52 m. ')
At the heart of this electric vehicle are four motors, one for each wheel, equipped with a liquid cooling system. The most important achievement of engineers was the ability to remotely control the MRV, while the operator, who will remotely control the vehicle, will feel a dynamic connection with it.
You can see all this yourself in the official video published by NASA.
