The police banned the holding of a scientific conference "Love and sex with robots"

In Malaysia, the science and practical conference "Love and Sex with Robots" ( Love and Sex with Robots ) fell through. The annual conference was supposed to be held from 16 to 19 November 2015, but law enforcement agencies banned the event.

Police Inspector Khalid Abu Bakar officially declared the future conference illegal. He warned the organizers that in the future they would refuse to hold such events in Malaysia.

Khalid Abu Bakar called the very theme of the conference ridiculous and questioned the goals and objectives of the organizers: “There is nothing scientific about sex with robots!” He said at a press conference. And this is despite the fact that experts predict the emergence of companion robots by 2050.

The police chief believes that the organizers brazenly undermine the country's conservative values, promoting sexual perversion. He recalled that Malaysia has a criminal article for anal sex, especially with robots.

The conference “Love and Sex with Robots” covers such topics as robot emotions, the development of humanoid robots, cloning, entertainment robotics, the development of individuality of individual robots, teledildonics, intelligent electronics for sex, etc. At last year's conference in Portugal, about 40 scientists presented their work.

The organizers have already notified the participants about the postponement of the conference to 2016. The official website published an apology and said that the conference is postponed due to "circumstances beyond our control."
