Ukrainian startup Augmented Pixels raised $ 1 million investment and moves to Silicon Valley
The Augmented Pixels project, which is developing augmented reality technology, raised a $ 1 million seed round. The California funds and investors from The Hive and Steltec Capital have become investors of the project. In connection with such changes, the main part of the startup team moves from Odessa to Silicon Valley. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Already among the clients of Augmented Pixels are companies such as National Geographic, Harkus, Jayman, Zoom3D and others. In The Hive promise to help start-up in finding new customers and markets for products.
Investments in companies plan to invest in the development of new technologies of augmented and virtual reality, including - for the retail market, real estate and interior design. At the moment, the team is working on technologies for creating low-cost content for virtual reality. ')
According to startup CEO Vitaly Goncharuk, the startup team was introduced to IDCEE-2014 with future investors.
Let me remind you that in April last year the project attracted investments from the Ukrainian fund AVentures Capital and the founder of the outsourcing company Ciklum Torben Maygaard. In February 2013, the company received seed investments from AVentures (for a 25% stake in the company).
