HTC enters the smart watch market with the HTC Grip tracker

HTC unveiled its first wearable gadget at Mobile World Congress - the Grip fitness tracker, developed in partnership with Under Armor . The device looks like a mixture of FuelBand 2 from Nike and Microsoft Band, the gadget is equipped with five sensors to track the actions of the host and the GPS module. When GPS is on, the bracelet will work up to five hours on one charge.

HTC engineers did not integrate a heart rate monitor into the device - perhaps because this sensor is a weak point in many sports gadgets. The developer claims that the sensors with which the devices are equipped, in the "multi-sport" mode, are able to monitor various types of activity - walking, running, cycling, or exercising in the gym.

The device is compatible with iOS and Android. It will be available in two colors and three sizes. The price in the USA will make 199 dollars.
