Amazon has long been testing various forms of delivery of goods to customers, considering the most exotic options. Now Amazon experts have offered another method to accelerate the delivery of goods, which is to stop driving trucks in vain, delivering some types of goods. Instead, mobile "printing stations" can be used:
trucks with a 3D printer on board that will travel by local orders, creating the things the customer needs.
Naturally, such a station will not print a laptop, but simple mechanical parts, spare parts, toys and the like can be printed without problems. At the same time, according to specialists of the company, the customer’s waiting time for goods is significantly reduced, transport costs are reduced, and income from such “delivery” increases.

Orders of this kind Amazon customers will be able to receive within a few hours after registration. It works as follows: on the Amazon site, there is some detail for a car, for example. The buyer orders the part, and after a while, on the day of the order, a “mobile print station” drives up to it, which prints the necessary part while on the way. At the same time, these products will always be in stock, their stock in stock does not matter. Now the company is engaged in the design of a patent for this method of "delivery".
It is worth noting that Amazon previously tested the delivery of goods by drones, abandoning this idea after the relevant authorities in the United States began to ban flying UAVs in some regions. In addition, Amazon is testing an “intelligent” delivery system, analyzing customer preferences in a particular region, and transferring the most popular products of the region to the nearest Amazon branch, even before buyers order such goods.
