Moscow plans to create a network of space food vending machines

In the next couple of years, Moscow may become a place where even a hungry astronaut will not disappear. JSC Space Lab is preparing a new project for the placement of machines selling "space food" - tubes and other packages with food, which cosmonauts usually eat in flight. This was told by the general director of JSC Andrei Vedernikov.

The initiators of the project are counting on interest in the project from Muscovites and guests of the capital. If there really is interest, the company plans to supply up to 500 such machines in various places of the capital, including schools.

In the meantime, these machines are in the design stage, everyone can already get a “spacemobile” at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements (VVC), where in the pavilion 32 “Cosmos” on February 6 its sales began. This is the same authentic food that is prepared and sent to the ISS. It was developed 50 years ago at the Research Institute of Food Concentrate and Special Food Technology.

There are no synthetic preservatives, GMOs and artificial additives and improvers in food. Food is stored for up to 18 months. There is one tube of 300 rubles. Sales will go until March 28 on all days except Monday, from 11:00 to 22:00.
