In New York, the trial of Ross Ulbricht, the owner of the underground Internet site Silk Road, ended. The court found 30-year-old Ulbricht guilty of all seven counts, including organizing a drug business, which brought more than $ 200 million in bitcoin revenue to sellers.
The hearing lasted for four weeks, and the jury made up six men and six women. Before sentencing, the jury deliberated for three hours,
reports Reuters.
The court will establish the specific term of the sentence on May 15, 2015. Based on the points of the sentence, Ulbricht faces from 20 years to life.
The court did not accept the arguments of Ulbricht's attorneys that he is not the “Dread Pirate Roberts”, that is, the person who controlled the site during its existence.

On the other hand, it was difficult to build a normal defense with such a large number of serious evidence. On Ulbricht’s laptop, they found a file (diary) in which he logged his criminal activities in detail.
