Samsung has released new SSD models with a reading speed of 5.5 GB / s

The corporate sector needs productive computer equipment, where the speed of information transfer plays a key role. Samsung has released a new range of solid-state drives that can satisfy the most demanding user. These drives are created by 3D V-NAND technology, so that the reading speed reaches 5.5 GB / s.

This is an indicator of the performance of the HHHLNVMe SSD, model PM1725. Other indicators are also impressive - for example, the random read speed of 1,000,000 IOPS, the write speed of 120,000 IOPS, the sequential write of 1,800 MB / s. Apparently, the new Samsung SSDs surpass even the new SSD models from Intel (we are talking about the SSD 750 Series NVMe PCIe).

Samsung developers promise that a 5 GB movie can be saved to disk in just three seconds. PM1725 is represented by models of 3.2 TB and 6.4 TB. The top model is able to withstand the daily rewriting of data with a volume of 32 TB for five years.

This means that every day, the user can record, erase and re-record about 6,400 5 GB movies. As far as you can understand, these SSDs are really reliable.



In addition to these models, the corporation has released two other 3D V-NAND devices, PM1633 and PM953. The PM1633 is a 2.5 inch 12 GB / s SAS SSD, which is available in 480, 960 GB, 1.92 and 3.84 TB volumes. Random read and write speeds are 160,000 IOPS and 18,000 IOPS, respectively, and sequential read and write are 1100 MB / s and 1000 MB / s, respectively.



Unfortunately, the cost of any of the models is not disclosed. It is also not clear when the SSD can be bought.
