New things of the Internet of things: what is there in Samsung?

Recently, everything on the Internet of things market appears more and more offers from various companies. Samsung was one of the first to start developing this plot, but now, when Google , Apple and Microsoft have already crushed it, it's time to remind myself - which they did at IFA 2015. Korean company managers, unlike competitors, prefer not to to buy companies related to IoT, and offer all interested developers to participate in creating the concept of a smart home based on publicly available standards.

At IFA 2015 were presented smart sockets connected to the control center (hub). Nothing out of the ordinary, a standard solution, but with this everything has to start. Such an outlet costs $ 55 and it went on sale only in the USA, and next month it will appear on the European market.

The new Samsung SmartThings Hub has been updated, and is equipped with a more powerful processor that allows for video control and has a backup battery that can work up to 10 hours in the event of a power outage. The video monitoring system allows you to access the live broadcast at any time, recording video in case of unforeseen actions, such as driving at the front door.

The most unusual item of all presented was a sleep analyzer. Unlike all wearable devices with which it is not always comfortable to sleep, this analyzer is mounted under the bed and analyzes your sleep. The company claims accuracy of 97%, which of course is impressive. About the cost of this device is not yet known, in the official store it is not.

Samsung did not stop only on smart homes and talked about the partnership with Volkswagen and BMW. For example, in the new 7-Series navigation and control comes from the tablet TAB-S2.

Using the MirrorLink mode, connecting Samsung mobile devices to most machines will be a matter of seconds: the company has added a car mode for all the latest models (it was once on a number of flagships, now it will be everywhere). You can connect the phone and see all the information on the standard system of the car, and you can just use your phone.

Let us now see what the competitors of the Korean giant will answer.

We make things clever
