The largest photograph of the Andromeda nebula from the Hubble telescope

The Hubble telescope , which more than once pleased us with fascinating photographs of distant space, on January 5 produced a new masterpiece - a very detailed photograph of the Andromeda nebula, nearest to our Milky Way, a large galaxy (2.5 million light years). The photo contains one and a half gigapixels, so it is best to study it with a zoom tool on the telescope site .

A beautiful photograph encompasses a section from the central bulge of the galaxy to the edge of its disk. For each click, the detailing increases and an incredible number of distant stars opens up (there are more than 100 million photos on them). To create a photo, 411 images from a telescope were used, which were taken in the visible spectrum using various filters.

Large clusters of blue stars are seen in star clusters and those places in spiral arms where stars are formed. Dark spots mark star dust clusters. Andromeda is a spiral galaxy, the same as most other galaxies in the observable universe, so astronomers, studying its detailed image, will be able to draw conclusions and generalizations that are true for most other galaxies.
