Now you can post a selfie from the top of Mount Fuji, the highest peak of Japan, without any problems. There is no need to wait for a descent to post a photo a few hours after it was made. From July 10, WiFi will appear on the mountain. At the same time access points will be free for all. WiFi is conducted in order to make the top and the region itself more attractive for tourists.

Naturally, with each new photograph of the volcano with a height of 3776 meters, more and more tourists rush to Fujiyama. In total, it is planned to install 8 access points in the region, writes the local edition of Asahi Shimbun .

The number of tourists from other countries who come to the mountain increases all the time. So, last year from 40 to 50 thousand tourists arrived at the summit and around the mountain. And the authorities of the prefectures Yamanashi and Shizuoka have agreed with the local telecommunications giant NTT Telecom Inc. about the installation of access points. In addition, for lovers of walks on the mountain peaks will be issued about 70 thousand reminders for tourists, with instructions on how to properly connect to the local network.

Representatives of local authorities also said that the wireless network is being established not only for possible mountain PR of tourists. With the help of a local connection to the network, people can get a weather forecast in a timely manner - and have time to hide if the forecast is unfavorable.

If the tourist is going to stay more than 3 days, he will have to look for another way to connect to the Network - local access points are active only within 72 hours from the moment of the user's first connection.
