How to make $ 12,000 a day trading virtual weapons

The weapon market is one of the most profitable in the world. And there are two similar markets - conventional weapons, and gaming, virtual. We are talking about the modified types of weapons from various games, as well as the top types of weapons from the same games.

Arthur Minasov and John Brechisky (21 and 28 years old respectively) decided to launch the OPSkins service in January. Since then, they have already earned a fortune by selling virtual weapons. OPSkins now sells weapons from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Players place their offers on the service, other players buy these weapons, and the company receives funds as an intermediary and guarantor of the deal.

The founders of the service rate their work at 10% of each transaction. Now the daily market volume is $ 120 thousand, respectively, the authors of the service receive $ 6 thousand per day. At the same time, the co-owners of the service say that they have opened their business in order to protect players from cheating. Often, either the seller, giving the skin, does not receive anything, or the buyer, giving the money, becomes the victim of an unscrupulous seller.

Usually all these transactions are made through forums, where, of course, the mass of fraud. Service also ensures that the buyer receives the goods, and the seller - the money. Many sellers prefer to make deals outside Steam, because otherwise the funds received can only be used inside the service, to buy games or weapons. You can not withdraw money from Steam.

Usually, players get new skins for weapons, winning in any competition or making purchases through the Steam Community Market. However, some copies are worth thousands of US dollars. For example, a virtual knife (one of the skins) costs about $ 5000. It is possible that someone thinks that it is crazy to buy virtual weapons for such money, but 370,000 service users disagree with this opinion.

The most interesting thing is that the Valve team is not against the activities of entrepreneurs. Valve blocked the service a couple of times, but after they received full information on how transactions were conducted, they approved the service.

Now the guys have attracted 20 additional workers from the USA, Canada and Europe.

On 9 July, the ESWC Counter-Strike: GO World Finals championship will be held in Montreal, and OPSkins will be the main sponsor, offering $ 100,000 for the prize pool.
