SpaceX CRS-7 launch failed

A few minutes ago, the SpaceX CRS-7 space truck was launched on the Falcon 9 v1.1 launch vehicle to the International Space Station without people on board. The launch ended in failure. 2 minutes 19 seconds after the launch, during the termination of the first stage, the rocket experienced an unknown problem. Details are specified.

Anomaly occurs at around 23:35

On board the CRS-7 were scientific experiments, food, clothing, hygiene items and other traditional items. Among the unusual cargo - an adapter for docking the International Docking Adapter. IDA-1 was located in the unsealed compartment of the Dragon. Two such adapters for the hermetic docking adapter are designed for docking future ships, including Dragon 2, the next version of the SpaceX ship.

In addition to putting the payload into orbit, a third attempt was to take place to land the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket on a new barge "Of course, I still love you." Previous attempts failed, although the launch of the cargo into orbit was planned. Testing the landing of the first stage of the rocket is designed to significantly reduce the cost of the launch.

It is not known yet how much the further work of the International Space Station threatens the loss of these supplies. The previous launch of the space truck to the ISS to supply the station took place on April 28. Then the control over the Progress M-27M was lost, the docking was canceled, and the ship burned down in the dense layers of the atmosphere on the morning of May 7th. The launch of the next truck is scheduled for Friday, July 3. This will be the Progress M-28M on the Soyuz-U launch vehicle.

At the moment, cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko, Gennady Padalka and astronaut Scott Kelly are on the ISS. Replenishment of the crew should take place only on July 23.
