Yesterday, the well-known insider
Wzor posted important information on his
twitter for Windows XP users. They can legally upgrade their system
through the Windows Store :
In addition, he clearly identified the fact that the new Windows 10 is not free and told about the dates when the RTM assembly of the operating system should appear. According to Microsoft’s plans, the Worldwide Partner Conference 2015 (described in the tweet below) will be held in Orlando from July 12 to 16. Earlier in Redmond called the release date of Windows 10 more vague - "this summer."

Interestingly, Wzor actually repeats the
words of Terry Meyerson, who also recently published information about switching to Windows 10 on his blog. Then it was about “very attractive upgrade options”. Even earlier, the Internet was disturbed by the news that it would be possible to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, but later, Microsoft
clarified that this was not the case.
Technical support and the release of updates for Windows XP terminated by Microsoft on April 8, 2014. Nevertheless, analytical agency StatCounter
claims that it is still used on at least 10.97% of computers worldwide. In second place is Windows 8.1 with a share of about 15.6%, and unconditional leadership keeps Windows 7 with 53.56%.
