It is finished, gentlemen: April 23, 2015 CJSC "MCST" and PJSC "INEUM them. I. Bruka ”was informed that they are replenishing the range of products with new models of computer complexes: the personal computer ARM Elbrus-401 and the server Elbrus-4.4 , and that the prototypes of these systems are open to receiving orders via email and telephone. Contacts can be found on the official website of CJSC “MCST”, but orders are accepted only from legal entities.

So, what is available for purchase:

Firstly, the personal computer "ARM Elbrus-401", developed on the basis of the Elbrus-4C microprocessor, is proposed for the equipment of automated workplaces (ARM) of operators, the organization of microservers and information terminals, applications in industrial automation and in systems with increased requirements for information security. The PC is made in the case of MiniTower.

Secondly, a four-processor Elbrus-4.4 server is proposed, which, according to the developers, is a high-performance multiprocessor computing system designed to operate in the Elbrus operating system environment, providing solutions for processing large volumes of information, including in real time. This server is made in a rack case for installation in a standard 19 ”rack with a height of 1U. It contains four Elbrus-4C processors, combined according to the NUMA scheme (non-uniform shared memory). Total server performance is 200 Gflops single precision. The server supports installation of up to 384 GB of DDR3 memory with error correction.

That the PC, the server as a “south bridge” use the KPI peripheral controller developed by the MCST, which provides support for 1 PCI Express x8 channel (slot x16), 2 PCI channels, 1 Gigabit Ethernet channel and 4 SATA 2.0 channels, 1 PATA channel, 1 USB 2.0 channel, 2 RS-232 channels. On the boards, the PATA interface is connected to the CompactFlash card slot, which is used for the needs of the binary translator. The PC has a video card from Silicon Motion soldered on the board, the DVI connector of which is displayed on the rear panel, and there is also an mSATA connector (in which an SSD disk can be installed as an option). For the server, an optional IPMI 1.5 management module is supplied and it is possible to install a second KPI, which doubles the number of peripheral connectors.

In addition, the developers are talking about the full support of the hardware-software binary translation of the Intel x86 and Intel x86-64 codes to the codes for execution on the Elbrus processor. According to them, the end-to-end execution of more than 1000 popular programs written for Intel processors and the launch of more than 20 operating systems, including Windows XP, Linux, QNX on Elbrus processors, are supported.
