This means that the game leaves the status of "early access", in which it has been in the past four years, and is now a full-fledged completed game. The developers, however, assure people that they are not going to stop there, and will continue to release updates in the future, adding to the game all the new features.

First of all , the KSP now has normal aerodynamics, more realistic in calculating the shape of the ships and the lift force of the wings. Previously, aerodynamics was calculated using extremely simplified algorithms, and almost all of the details influenced the rocket's aerodynamics, regardless of where they were located. In this regard, procedurally generated fairings for cargoes are added to the game, which cut off the load put into orbit from aerodynamics and help improve the flight characteristics of the rocket.

Secondly , the heat from friction and the simulation of the entrance to the upper atmosphere were added to the game. The ship can now collapse and burn during landing, heat shields have been added for the landing capsules, just like on real ships, so now just fall onto the planet and remain unharmed will not work.

Thirdly , the game now has the opportunity to extract resources on other planets, to produce fuel from them, and to fill them with missiles that are in a mission.
