Under Armor bought sports applications MyFitnessPal and Endomondo

The sports brand Under Armor bought the Endomondo social network and the application for tracking the nutrition and activity of MyFitnessPal. The company uses technology to supplement its MapMyFitness platform with a calorie counter, nutrition, and an exercise tracker.

Under Armor bought Endomondo for $ 85 million. The company was opened in 2007, and by January 2015 the number of users of the sports social network was 20 million. More than three hundred thousand trainings are registered there every day. To track the activity using smartphones and fitness trackers.

MyFitnessPal was worth 475 million. The application counts calories based on food data that users enter on their own or using a barcode from the package, and activity information about which comes from other applications and trackers.
